Arts & Crafts Heritage Week in Asheville

One of the many things Asheville is known for was the Arts & Crafts Movement from 1895-1940, and out of which grew the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild. This year from February 12-19th, there are daily presentations and exhibits all over town, highlighting the various aspects of this important time in Western North Carolina’s history. Friday thru Sunday at the Grove Park Inn there are presentations and over 125 Exhibitors selling antique and contemporay items from this period including furniture, metalware, jewelry, textiles, books and more.  The Asheville Preservation Society is also sponsoring their House Tours, so don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to learn more about this  unique aspect of Asheville history.

And if you, like so many others, fall in love with Asheville and want to live in an authentic Arts & Craft period home, or perhaps a newer, more modern version of this unique style, just give us a call.
